At the University of Muhammadiyah (Unismuh) Makassar, an academic service in order to facilitate the success of student learning is a priority effort. Students who are as new students to the graduating students, they are constantly mentored, given intensive explanation of the service procedures that can be obtained, either as a right or as a student’s obligation.
The study process begins with the registration of new students through the One Day Service (ODS) system or the Day Service (Registration-Selection-Registration). Next is to follow the activities of New Student Pesantren and Introduction Orientation Program of the Department, and ends with the Inauguration of New Students which is marked by wearing of Almamater coat and Inaugural Lecture.
Furthermore, Courses Programming or often known as the filling “Card Study Plan (KRS)”. The Courses Programming or Filling of Card Study Plan (KRS) has been implemented through the Integrated IT Based Programming System of Bank Partner Unismuh Makassar, known as SIMAK (Academic Management Information System). This system can be accessed full online so that the KRS Programming or Fulfillment Program can be done anytime and anywhere. And, this system can also be a medium of information for students’ parents or guardians, so that the students’ guardian or parents can know and control the status of liveliness of their children study.
After Courses Programming or Fulfillment KRS done, the next activity is to follow the lectures. The lectures are conducted 16 times with the system of meeting in class and meeting through e-learning. Practicum, Field Work Practice (PKL), Teaching Professional Training (P2K), Real Work Lecture (KKN), Research, Preparation of Final Project or Thesis, Final Exam, Yudisium, and Graduation are the types of activities that must be passed by a student to become Alumni of University of Muhammadiyah Makassar, and the process of taking or programming activities are all done through IT-Based SIMAK system.
The efforts to improve the quality of learning both in terms of material service and the intensity of the presence of lecturers and students in the classroom, then in each classroom has been equipped with multimedia LCD, CCTV camera, and Air Conditioning. In addition, learning support facilities and talent development of students, such as: Language Laboratory, Engineering Laboratory, Computer Laboratory, MIPA Laboratory, Micro Teaching Laboratory, Medical Laboratory, Anatomy Laboratory, Accounting Laboratory, Forest Education, Aquaculture and Fishpond Education, School Laboratory, Picture Studio, Sport and Arts Facility, Student Apartment, Student Mall, Library, Free Hotspot Internet Area, Auditorium, Medical Center, offices of Partner banks have been represented.
